Saving a website exactly as it looks
(1) With the Microsoft Edge Browser:
step 1.: are you on the website you want to save? Or navigate to it.
step 2.: click on the 3 dots in the top right of the screen …
step 3.: click on: Web capture (with the camera icon)
step 4.: choose the option: Capture full page
step 5.: click the disk icon (Save) in the top right of the screen
step 6.: the website is saved as an image in the Downloads directory
step 7.: you can use the file explorer (the yellow folder) to go to the Downloads directory
step 8.: you can now give the file a different name, for example
step 9.: you could archive the file in a different folder or for example upload it to Google Drive
(2) With the Google Chrome Browser
Before we can save a website in the Google Chrome Browser we need to install an extension. In the Google Chrome Browser this option is not yet built in by default.
Part 1:Installing the extension
step 1.: click on the 3 dots in the top right of the screen …
step 2.: choose the option: Extensions (with the puzzle piece icon)
step 3.: then choose the option: Visit Chrome Web Store
step 4.: type in the search box: Search the store the name: Awesome and press the Enter key on the keyboard
step 5.: choose the option: Awesome screenshot
step 6.: click the blue button: Add to Chrome
step 7.: click the button: Add extension
step 8.: click Skip at Step 1 in the bottom right
step 9.: click Skip at Step 2 in the bottom right
step 10.: follow the instruction of Step 3, click the puzzle piece icon next to the address bar (near the … dots)
step 11.: click the pin icon to the right of: Awesome ChatGPT Screenshot…
step 12.: you now have an additional icon in the browser menu next to the address bar, the icon looks like a camera lens with different colours around it
step 13.: click in the blue area on the right on the button: I have pinned
step 14.: click Skip at Step 4 in the bottom right
step 15.: click the button: Next
step 16.: you can now close the tab, using the cross at the top of the screen (not the cross in the top right of the screen)
step 17.: the extension is now installed
Part 2:Saving the website
step 1.: are you on the website you want to save? Or navigate to it.
step 2.: click on the icon next to the address bar that looks like a camera lens with different colours around it
step 3.: a panel appears with the option: Capture in the top left, click on it
step 4.: click the button: Full page
step 5.: click the button: Done in the top right of the screen
step 6.: click the button: Download
step 7.: click the button: Allow
step 8.: give the file you are about to download a name and choose the location, for example in the Downloads or Pictures directory, and press the button: Save
step 9.: you can use the file explorer (the yellow folder) to navigate to the relevant directory
step 10.: you could archive the file in a different folder or for example upload it to Google Drive
